Delafield Man, 80, Caught in Undercover Milwaukee Sex Sting

Pewaukee Lake resident told a police officer, who he thought was a 15-year-old boy, that he wanted to take him "bare butt" tanning on his pontoon, according to complaint.

An 80-year-old Delafield man could spend the rest of his life in prison after he was caught by Milwaukee police trying to pick up a 15-year-old boy for sex.

Donald R. Riemer was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Thursday with one count of using a computer to facilitate a sex crime. If convicted, he could face up to 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.

On Dec. 21, a Milwaukee police officer posing as a teenage boy made contact with Riemer via a Craigslist ad from Riemer looking for young men in the Waukesha area. While many ads cite a minimum age, the listing only specified “young” men.

Riemer initially told the officer 15 was too young, but then continued the conversation and told him he might change his mind if the boy sent a picture to him. Riemer, who lives on Pewaukee Lake, then told the boy he owns a pontoon boat and wanted to know if he could take him out on it to do some “bare butt tanning” and some skinny dipping.

He then sent pictures to the undercover officers and they arranged a meeting in a parking lot on the south side of Milwaukee on Dec. 30 where he was arrested.

Riemer admitted to arranging a meeting with the boy, but when asked about some messages he sent to police about sexual acts he wanted to perform with the boy while driving back to his house in Delafield, Riemer said he only wanted to see the boy’s penis because he was bragging about its size in the chats and he wasn’t necessarily going to touch it.

When Riemer thought he was going to jail, he told police the whole situation was being “overblown” and that none of what happened was serious enough to “jail me.”
