Cop Spots Shed Fire While Making Traffic Stop

The fire on Sherryl and North Grandview Boulevard has been put out.

A police officer who was on a traffic stop on Summit Avenue early Monday afternoon heard a noise while on a traffic stop, looked up and saw smoke, according to Battalion Chief Joe Hoffman.

"He called it in," Hoffman said.

The shed was destroyed in the fire at Sherryl Lane Β and North Grandview Boulevard. The garage was also damaged in the fire, although the fire was stopped before it could spread too far into the garage.
