Construction Worker Killed in Crane Collapse Was Spancrete Employee

Spancrete's headquarters is based in Waukesha; TV reports victim was from Green Bay.

The construction worker killed in a crane incident on Highway 41 in Oshkosh was an employee from Waukesha-based Spancrete.

While Spancrete’s headquarters is based in Waukesha, it ceased operations at its plant in Waukesha. Spancrete’s continue to operate its factory in Valders.

The victim was 35-year-old Joseph Bilder from Green Bay, according to TMJ4.

A second construction worker, the crane operator, was injured in the $54 million Wisconsin Department of Transportation project.

The accident is under investigation by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department and Occupational Health and Safety Administration, according to a news release from the DOT.
