Condo Fire on West Avenue Extinguished Quickly

The fire was in a second-floor unit and firefighters were able to prevent it from spreading.

No injuries were reported after a Friday night fire at a seven-story condominium building on West Avenue.

Waukesha firefighters responded about 5:40 p.m. Friday to 315 N. West Avenue, where they found heavy smoke on the second floor due to a fire in one of the units. A press release from the department indicated that the fire was quickly brought under control and kept it from spreading to other units. Smoke damage was limited to the second and third floors.

Damages were estimated at $100,000 and the fire remains under investigation.
