Complaint: Stranger Attacks man in Downtown Waukesha

Suspect, 37, attacked a man unprovoked after claiming he was having issues with his "twin brother," court documents state.

A 37-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges after he attacked a stranger in downtown Waukesha because he was having issues with his “twin brother.”

Jeffrey L. Wnuk was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of battery and one count of disorderly conduct. If convicted, he faces up to one year in prison and $11,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint, at 10 p.m. Monday, the victim was walking through the parking lot of Waukesha State Bank when Wnuk approached him and grabbed his arms and shirt, saying he was having an issue with his “twin brother.” Wnuk then screamed “I love my (expletive) brother and if anything happens to him,” then pushed and punched the victim in his rib cage, the complaint states.

Another man who was driving by saw the incident and got out of his vehicle and began helping the victim by attacking Wnuk. Waukesha police officers saw the fight taking place and ran to the scene to stop the fight, however, both men had to be stunned with a Taser after the continued to fight, according to the complaint.

Wnuk is being held in Waukesha County Jail on $1,500 cash bail. He recently on a different disorderly conduct case.
