Busy Night for Waukesha Fire, Police Promotions

Fire department lieutenant promoted to battalion chief.

The room in the Waukesha Fire Department Station No. 1 was jammed packed as the Waukesha Police Department and the submitted names for promotions to the Police & Fire Commission on Monday.

Fire Department

Lt. Steve Ore was promoted to battalion chief in the Waukesha Fire Department. Scott Purdy was then promoted to lieutenant. The promotions are the result of a retirement in the department. .

The Waukesha Fire Department also celebrated the completion of probation for firefighters Terry Lofy, Will Dumovich and Ryan Teske. Also celebrating the completion of probation was Jesse Alba, who has worked as the assistant fire chief of operations for a year after his promotion in 2010.

Waukesha Police Officer Joe Hendricks was promoted to sergeant, which completes the internal promotion process that followed former Deputy Police Chief Mark Stigler’s retirement.
