Burning Papers, Burning Plastic Bottle Among Weekend Police Calls

Waukesha Police Department calls from Sept. 7 through Sept. 9.

The following police calls were among calls made to the Waukesha Police Department this weekend:

  • A former client of Hebron House of Hospitality was upset when he wasn’t given paperwork on him, so he stole stove burners before leaving the 1500 block of Summit Avenue at 6:24 p.m. Saturday. The man was arrested.
  • A woman was arrested after it was reported she was burning papers in the street at 9:23 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of East Broadway.
  • Two people were arrested after a fight was reported at 11:11 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of West Main Street.
  • An arrest was made for a domestic disturbance at 12:41 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Big Bend Road.
  • Carroll students reportedly were found by security with marijuana at 12:42 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of South East Avenue.
  • Two arrests were made after a fight was reported at 1:09 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of North Barstow Street.
  • Noisy students in the 100 block of Cook Street were warned at 1:33 a.m. Sunday.
  • A man reportedly spat at a taxi cab driver and shoved the driver when refusing to pay his fare at 3 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of West Broadway.
  • The theft of two lawn mowers, a snow blower and a weed eater was reported in the 100 block of Wisconsin Avenue at 10:10 a.m. Sunday
  • An arrest was made after two young children were at a gas station in the 1600 block of East Sunset Drive telling people their mother was sleeping at 10:54 a.m. Sunday
  • A woman reported that her husband beat her up twice at 4:11 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Fleetfoot Drive. However, after speaking with the husband, who told police she tried to burn him, the woman was arrested for domestic abuse, bail jumping and child abuse.
  • A woman reported at 5:05 p.m. Sunday that her ex-boyfriend was posting lewd ads on Craigslist using her picture and personal information.
  • An 11-year-old boy playing in a park near Madera Street reportedly lit a plastic bottle on fire at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The boy’s father was handling the issue.
  • An intoxicated man who had fallen off his bicycle several times near Horeb Park was warned about park hours at 10:06 p.m. Sunday
  • A theft of a moped from an unsecured garage in the 300 block of Cambridge Avenue was reported at 12:01 p.m. Sunday.
  • Two people were arrested after a man threatened a clerk with physical violence after the clerk asked him for his ID at 12:08 a.m. Monday in the 2100 block of South West Avenue.
