Burglary Report a False Alarm in Waukesha

Birch Drive and Delafield Street searched but police could not locate substantiate gun call.

Residents in the 400 block of Birch Drive had an eventful afternoon after a caller reported to the Waukesha Police Department at 3:08 p.m. Monday that four men with large guns went into a neighbor’s house.

The caller told police the men had their faces covered. The caller also believed drugs were involved, according to the Waukesha Police Department’s call log.

The caller told dispatch that the house in question was a brown house. The caller then hung up on dispatch.

Police checked the house in question and all brown houses on Birch Drive and could not locate anything suspicious or substantiate the burglary complaint. The call log states that the caller sounded as though there were slight mental issues.

Police were unable to locate the caller after searching the area for the reported gunmen. Police were also unable to locate any victims, the call log states.
