Bucholtz is being treated for a non-life threatening injury and will be transported to the Waukesha County Jail, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.

The former couple met at the hotel on Monday, which is near the border of City of Pewaukee and Waukesha, so he could give her something. Bucholtz told the woman to close her eyes and then stabbed her in the neck with a 6-inch to 8-inch long kitchen knife, the complaint states.

Bucholtz stole the woman’s cell phone and threatened to stab her again if she called for help, the complaint states. He told her he was going to take her to the hospital, but instead they drove around for 30 minutes before they went back his home in Pewaukee.

When they arrived at the home, Bucholtz’ mother told them to go to the hospital after Bucholtz told his mother that his former girlfriend had fallen down some stairs. At the hospital, the woman told Bucholtz’s mother and a nurse that she had been stabbed, according to the complaint.

The woman told investigators that Bucholtz told her he would kill himself if she ever ended their relationship, the complaint states. In the meantime, Bucholtz fled the hospital.

The woman was transported to Froedtert Hospital for further medical treatment as the knife penetrated the main muscle on her neck, the complaint states.
