St. Paul School Announces Its New Multiage Kindergarten Classroom for 4 & 5-Year olds

St Paul School in Genesee Depot expands its kindergarten to now serve 4K with a brand new Multiage Classroom educational program.

St. Paul School in Genesee Depot is pleased to announce its brand-new 'multiage kindergarten classroom' serving 4 & 5-year olds, enrolling now. The decision to expand its kindergarten came after finding a strong need to offer a 4K level program to the local communities that include Eagle, North Prairie, Wales, Delafield, Waukesha and Mukwonago. Once the decision had been made, new School Principal Tina Ellefson saw this as a great opportunity to look into new educational programming and discovered the multiage classroom as a great fit.

''The program's teaching approach is 'child-centered' according to needs and abilities rather than age. Students learn at their own pace that provides for a less frustrating and more positive learning environment," says Ellefson. "In addition, continuous student monitoring by the same teacher allows for no break-up in learning and less adjustment time in the second year of the program."

DPI Early Learning Standards will remain in compliance with the new program and Exit Expectations for student advancement into the primary level will be adhered to as required.
