WCTC to offer non-credit Creative Writing for Publication class starting Oct. 1

Waukesha County Technical College is offering a non-credit Creative Writing for Publication class with a mid-semester start date. The class will meet on Tuesdays, Oct. 1 through Dec. 17, from 9 a.m. to 10:55 a.m., at the main Pewaukee campus.

In the creative writing class, participants will learn a variety of styles to tell a story, including straightforward, creative, factual and other approaches.  They will develop awareness of the writing process, engage in creative thinking and practice writing skills. This course will focus on short story, poetry, feature articles and other styles of writing. Participants will write frequently and submit their work for class evaluation and instructor review.

The class is designed for writers of varying skill levels; however, fluency in oral and written English is required. Cost of the class is $83.43. To sign up, visit www.wctc.edu/class-search.
