These area residents recently passed away and are remembered by their loved ones.

Richard D. “Buck” Miller Sr
Buck was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 19, 1934, the son of the late Casimir and Catherine Miller. He worked as an electrician for Marquette Electronics for many years. In the 60s, Buck served as a volunteer firefighter for the New Berlin Fire Department.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Dorothy Julia Durant
Dorothy was born in Antigo, WI, on Jan. 31, 1921, the daughter of Walter and Agnes Deresch. She married Eugene Francis Durant and they resided in Waukesha. Dorothy was a longtime member of St. William Catholic Church. Dorothy loved the outdoors and wildlife. She loved hunting, fishing and camping. Dorothy loved to walk in the woods. More than anything, she loved playing with her great-granddaughter, Kaydra.

Muriel M. Peterson (nee Komar)
She was born on Nov. 2, 1937, the daughter of Louis and Sophie Komar. She married the love of her life, Robert H. Peterson “Bob” on April 15, 1961. Muriel was a member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church. She had a gifted voice, that she shared by singing in the choir at church. Muriel enjoyed sewing and dancing, and being a member of the Red Hatters. Most of all Muriel loved spending time with her grandkids and family. She was a very generous person to all.

Robert L. “Bob” Schossow
Robert was born on Sept. 7, 1925, in Algoma, WI, the son of Adolf and Minnie (Lassen) Schossow. Bob proudly served in World War II and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. Bob worked as a parts manager for Ray Hudson Chevrolet and the Gerlach Co. for many years.  He was also an active member of Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church .
