Obituary: William O. 'Bill' Schwartz

Waukesha man, 80, loved dogs and horses.

William O. “Bill” Schwartz, of Waukesha, died on Friday, March 30, 2012, at his home at the age of 80.

He was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 25, 1931, the son of William L. and Elsie (nee Greenwald) Schwartz.  Bill had a great love for dogs and horses and had many four-legged friends over the years, including his present dog Ben.

He was the dear husband for 60 years to Marilyn (nee Harry) Schwartz, whom he married on Dec. 15, 1951, he was the brother to Raymond Schwartz, Laverne Williams and the late Don Schwartz, brother-in-law to Marvin (Wilma) Harry, Joyce Plate and Dennis Harry.  He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, special cousins and friends.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Janis Kengis, Dr. Tim Wassenaar and Dr. Paul Doenier and all the wonderful medical personnel at Waukesha Memorial Hospital who were always there to help with Bill’s special needs.  The family also wishes to extend a thank you to Vitas Hospice Care for their care in Bill’s last days.

Private services and interment were held on Monday at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
