Obituary: William Christian “Bill” Buyatt

Dousman man loved family, fishing, hunting and camping.

William Christian “Bill” Buyatt, of Dousman, passed away peacefully at LindenGrove Health Care Center while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at the age of 82 years.

Bill was born in Jump River, Wisconsin, on Oct. 21, 1929, the son of Syrvie and Alfa (nee Oleson) Buyatt. Bill married Lois Reynolds-Paul-Buyatt on Oct. 20, 1984. He played baseball, horseshoes and loved to bowl. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and would never turn down the chance to go fishing, hunting or camping. He loved his dogs, “Butter,” “Gizmo,” and “Bitsy.” Above all, Bill loved his family and spending time with them.

Bill will be dearly missed by his wife of 27 years, Lois; his children, Steven (Julie) Buyatt of Palmyra, Linda (Terry) Novotny of Ladysmith, Mark Buyatt of Georgia, Shawn of Minnesota, Sandie (John) Holz of Dousman, Mike (Louise) Paul of Union Grove and Yvonne (Fred) Butterfield of Dousman; his 14 grandchildren; his 21 great grandchildren; his siblings, Lloyd (Vera) Buyatt, Alfred (Hilma) Buyatt and Ardelle (the late Ervin) Hink; many nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Syrvie and Alfa; his brother, Clinton; his sister Betty (the late Virgil) Gavigan; and his brother-in-law, Ervin.

A visitation for Bill will be from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Reverend Dennis Henn will officiate the service.

A memorial gathering and burial at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Jump River, Wisconsin will take place at a later date.
