Obituary: Wayne R. Pubanz

Milwaukee man, who served in the U.S. Army, dies at age 75.

Wayne R. Pubanz, of Milwaukee, died on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center at the age of 75 years.

He was born on Aug. 4, 1937, in Bancroft, WI, the son of Reinhold and Ruth (Russell) Pubanz. Wayne enjoyed working with his hands building things, tinkering around his home and spending time with his family. He was also an avid Packer fan. Wayne proudly served his country in the U. S. Army.

Wayne will be dearly missed by his children, Dawn (William) Gergen, Russell (Julie) Pubanz and Andrew Pubanz; grandchildren, Henry, Anna, Lauren & Ryan; former wife and friend, Helen Pubanz; sisters, Eyleene Boozer, Shirley Neiman, Carol Pubanz and Kathy (Will) Burds; sister-in-law, Betty Pubanz; other relatives and many friends. Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Engstrom; parents, a brother, Ernest Pubanz and sister, Mary Wismer.

The visitation for Wayne will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the 2 p.m. memorial service with Military Honors on Monday, Jan 21, at Wisconsin Memorial Park Family Center, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI 53005. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated.
