Obituary: Thomas J. Brown

Waukesha man, 83, worked in the Counter Intelligence Corps.

Thomas J. Brown, of Waukesha, died at Waukesha Springs on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the age of 83.

He was born on July 10, 1929 in Milwaukee to John H. and Agnes (nee: Flatley) Brown.  With his parents he moved to Waukesha in 1940.  He attended St. Joseph grade school and then Graduated from Waukesha High School in 1947.  On Sept. 5, 1953 he married the former Irene Jablonski in her hometown of Brookfield, Illinois.  Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in the Counter Intelligence Corps.  After returning from war he managed Photo Copy and Camera until 1969.  He was a salesman for various companies until he retired in 1988.  He was a member at St. Mary Catholic Church and all four of Tom’s sons attended St. Mary’s Grade School. 

He will be missed by his wife Irene of Waukesha and their children: Timothy T. (Roberta) Brown of Milwaukee, Christopher T. (Sue) Brown of Lake Wiley, South Carolina, and Peter T. Brown of Waukesha.  Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren Ian, Stephanie, and Paige all of Lake Wiley, South Carolina, his brother Dan Brown of Chatham, Massachusetts, sisters: Kathleen (George) Roedenberg of Richmond, Virginia, Ellen (Duke) Slack of Naperville, Illinois, and Jane (Jack) Bauer of Bernardsville, New Jersey, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his son T. Kevin in 1990, and brothers: Joe, Patrick, Jack, and Jim, and his sister Mary.

Visitation will be at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S.
