Obituary: Scott A. Marx

The lifelong Waukesha resident passed away at age 48.

Scott A. Marx, a lifelong Waukesha resident, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 48 years.  He was born in Waukesha on July 15, 1964 the son of Doyle and Joanne (nee Southard) Marx.  He was a 1983 graduate of Waukesha North High School where he was on the swimming and football teams.  On September 16, 1989 he married Wanda Olver. Scott was a member of the Waukesha Elks Lodge No. 400 and American Legion DJ Martin Post #8.  He was an avid dart player and had been part of Waukesha dart leagues for many years. Scott loved shopping and enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and racing, photography and being on his computer.  Scott was very active in fundraising for many organizations and was always willing to talk with anyone he met.  Most of all he will always be remembered as a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 23 years Wanda Marx of Waukesha, his loving children, Charity (Chad) Metz of Elkhorn, Derek (Tracey) Bentley of Oconomowoc and Heather (Andrew) Hauke of West Allis, his parents Doyle and Joanne Marx of Crivitz and his four grandchildren, Santasia and Sabrina Metz and Alexandria and Londyn Bentley.  He is further survived by his brother Kenneth (Carrie) Marx of Waukesha, his sister Deborah (Brian) Sodergren of Stephenson, MI along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 4:00 until the 7:00PM Lodge of Sorrow Service followed by the religious funeral service all held at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Reverend John Mundt will preside. Entombment with full military honors will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Cemetery.
