Obituary: Ruth M. Mason-Zimmermann

Waukesha woman dies at age 89.

Ruth M. Mason-Zimmermann, of Waukesha, surrounded by her daughters, peacefully joined her eternal family on Nov. 19, 2012, at age 89.

Ruth was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Gormania, WV, to Ernest and Marie (Weiss) Mason. She was a former longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Waukesha. She worked for the Waukesha County Museum for 25 years, retiring in 1985. While there, she was able to enjoy her love of history and was an avid genealogist for her family.

Ruth is survived by her three daughters, Merri Lee (Robert) Orgeman, Kerri (Michael) Vitale, and Gail Zimmermann; three granddaughters, Lacey (Michael) Collins, Karissa (Josh) Adam and Erin (Joey Rozanski) Orgeman; five great-grandchildren, Grace, Emma Jo, and Jack Collins, Dominik and Owen Adam; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Willard and Robert; and great-grandson, Matthew Collins.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends but she will remain in our hearts forever.

At Ruth’s request private family services were held. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Ruth’s name.
