Obituary: Ronald A. “Ron” Konley

Funeral services for 80-year-old Waukesha man will be held Monday.

Ronald A. “Ron” Konley, of Waukesha, died on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 80 years.

He was born in Milwaukee on January 1, 1933 the son of John and Lillian (nee Sigmund) Konley.  He proudly served his country in the National Guard and was called to active duty from 1957 until 1959.  On June 23, 1962 he married Patricia Blanchard at Brown Deer Methodist Church.  Ron worked for more than 40 years as an independent insurance agent before finishing his career working for Couri Insurance.  He enjoyed swimming, reading, playing chess, watching movies, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. 

He will be sadly missed by his dear wife Patricia “Pat” Konley of Waukesha, his children, Ruth (Scott) Joseph of New York, Carolyn Konley of Waukesha, Dean (Virginia) Konley of Waukesha, and Janice (Gary) Klosinski of Dousman, and his 17 grandchildren: Mary, Jennifer, Jacob, Katherine, Alex, Ian, Joshua, Ashley, Mitchell, Emily, Zachary, Abigail, Gabrielle, James, Lilly, Titus, and Levi. Also 4 great-grandchildren: Alice, Jocelyn, Rogan, and Elizabeth. He is further survived by his brother Kern Konley of Delafield along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his brother Raymond and by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 from 3 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, N6 W31449 Alberta Drive, Delafield, WI 53018.  Burial with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery.
