Obituary: Robert R. McDowell

Robert R. McDowell, of Watertown, formerly of Wales, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at Watertown Regional Medical Center at the age of 73.

He was born on April 27, 1938, the son of Ray and Elizabeth (nee Williams) McDowell.  On Sept. 14, 1968 he married the former Patricia Dering.  Bob was a dedicated member of Jerusalem Presbyterian Church in Wales and worked for 41 years at Generac Corporation in Waukesha.  In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time at his cabin.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Patricia, of Watertown, along with their daughters, Kerry (Jay) Gasser of Janesville and Michelle (Mark) Monkoski of Plymouth.  He was the dear grandfather of Ryan and Meghan Gasser and Olivia and Charlie Monkoski.  He is further survived by his sister Beth (the late Carl) Klug of Watertown, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Jerusalem Presbyterian Church, 207 W. Main St. Wales, WI  53183.  Visitation continues at the church on Monday, Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service. Burial will follow the service at Salem Cemetery.
