Obituary: Richard Joseph Passante

Waukesha man, 77, served with the Army during the Korean War.

Richard Joseph Passante, of Waukesha, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at the age of 77 years.

Richard was born in Milwaukee on April 7, 1935, as the son of the late Carmin and Elizabeth (nee Mangino) Passante. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.

Richard and his brother, Eugene, owned and operated a jewelry store near Milwaukee. He also worked as a security guard at St. Joseph’s Hospital for many years Richard was an avid volunteer in the Physical Therapy Department at the VA Medical Center.

Richard is survived by his son Peter (Renata) Passante of Waukesha; grandson Mark Passante; brother’s Eugene (Josephine) Passante of WI and Donald (Susan) Passante of AZ and his former wife Mary Rapp; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

There will be a funeral service with full military honors for Richard on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring St., Union Grove, WI 53182. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
