Obituary: Nicholas A. “Nick” Wilcox
Nick Wilcox, 24, a Kettle Moraine High School graduate, leaves behind family and friends after he went missing Jan. 1.
Nicholas A. “Nick” Wilcox of Milwaukee, after a long search, finally found peace on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the age of 24 years.
Nick was a wonderful young man. He was a loving son; quick to say “I love you” and bend down to give you a hug while trying to pick you up. He was a caring, fun-loving jokester of a brother. Nick was the youngest in the family, but was always protective of his older sisters. Being a devoted grandson, he was always there to lend a helping hand. Nick was admired by his nieces and nephews; they knew they could always have some fun with him, and he was a loving boyfriend to Kelly McGonagil.
Nick was a responsible, motivated young man, and he wanted to make a difference and help people. Nick completed an associate degree at Waukesha County Technical College in criminal justice and was continuing to study at UW-Milwaukee, toward a career in law enforcement. He worked and attended school full-time while supporting himself completely. Nick was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. He enjoyed playing sports including, golf, baseball, and volleyball, as well as going fishing. Nick wasn’t waiting for his life to start – instead he was enjoying every step. His infectious smile, the twinkle in his eye, and his quick laugh were all signs that Nick loved life. Most of all Nick will always be remembered for his compassionate heart.
