Obituary: Michael J.”Abro” Abrahamson

Michael J.”Abro” Abrahamson, of Waukesha, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at the age of 40 years. 

He was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, the son of Robert and Shirley (Kluth) Abrahamson. Mike shared the same birthdate with his father and his sister Cindy. He attended Bethesda Elementary School and was a 1991 graduate of Waukesha North High School. Mike attended WCTC where he studied welding and auto mechanics and became an ASE certified mechanic. He had been employed with various landscaping and lawn care services. Mike was the owner and operator of The Race Shed Bar in Waukesha. 

He enjoyed camping with his cousin Jay, card playing with his friends, taking part in motorcycle racing and was an enthusiastic golfer. Mike enjoyed music, the Green Bay Packers, The Walking Dead T.V. series and his 2 cats, Devo and Yoda.

Mike is survived by his loving mother, Shirley of Waukesha; his two sisters, Christy Abrahamson of Waukesha and Cindy (Don) Giessel of Genesee Depot; his nieces, Sara (Justin) Pinkalla, Brittney Giessel and Courtney Giessel; his nephew Scott Geyer (friend Jamie); and great nephew, Gavin Geyer. He is also survived by his girlfriend Jean Lennon of Brookfield. Mike is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Veronica Kluth; paternal grandparents, Harold and Alma Abrahamson; uncle, Harvey Kluth; and cousin, Anne Abrahamson.

The visitation for Mike will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, from 3:30 p.m. until the 6:30 p.m. funeral service at Cesarz, Charapata, & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mike may be given to the family.
