Obituary: Marie Grace Plehn

Waukesha woman dies at age 87.

Marie Grace Plehn, of Waukesha, died on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 87.

She was born in Pewaukee on August 15, 1924 the daughter of the late Albert and Iola (nee Oestrich) Bergels.  On June 19, 1948 she married Donald Plehn in Waukesha; he preceded her in death on February 8, 2009.  Along with her husband, Marie volunteered at Waukesha Springs for over 20 years and won the “Volunteers of the Year” award.  She was a longtime member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She will be sadly missed by her children Donna (Scott) Doughty of Waukesha and Donald (Pam) Plehn of Oconomowoc, her grandchildren, Jason (fiancée Jeanette Proffitt) Doughty, Jennifer Holm, Carrie (D.J.) Bowe and Josh Plehn and six great-grandchildren, Payton, Paige, Mikka, Ava, Celine and Olivia.  She is further survived by her brother-in-law Fred Plehn and her sister-in-law Dorothy Plehn both of Waukesha along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 5:00 until the 7:00PM funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S.
