Obituary: Lucille H. Sinkovits

Waukesha woman, 86, died on New Year's Day.

Lucille H. Sinkovits, a longtime Waukesha resident, was born to Eternal Life on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at the age of 86 years.

She was born in West Allis, WI on May 6, 1926, the daughter of Archibald and Hazel (nee Wilson) Kessler. Lucille enjoyed doing volunteer work for veterans in the hospital and at area nursing homes. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion DJ Martin Post 8, of the Soat-Vergenz VFW Post 721 and of the Purple Heart where she served as past state commander of the auxiliary. She was also a member of TOPS and a founding member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother whose No. 1 priority was God and her family.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Kathleen (George) Doleshal of Dousman, James (Cathy) Sinkovits of Muskego and Peter Sinkovits of Waukesha, her grandchildren: Megan (Anthony) Ricciardi of Oconomowoc, Adam (Christine) Doleshal of Oconomowoc, Kimberly (Gene Sheehan) Guerra of Union Grove, Angela (Jeremy) Hendrix of Muskego and James (Jami) Sinkovits of West Allis and by her great-grandchildren: Halle, Jordan, Paige, Aiden, James, Preston, Sophia and Stephan.  She is further survived by her sister Betty Colla of Milwaukee, by her sister-in-law Dorothy Sinkovits of Waukesha along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband James on Jan. 28, 1996, by her sisters Lois Kelber and Lenora Ramsak and by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. vigil service at 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.  Services continue on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186.  Reverend Howard Haase will preside.  Graveside services will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.  If desired, memorials in Lucille’s name are appreciated to St. Mary Catholic Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association Southeastern WI Chapter, 620 S. 76th Street No. 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
