Obituary: Louise V. Schlagheck

Louise V. Schlagheck, of Waukesha, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Seasons Hospice at the age of 86 years. She was born in Peru, Illinois, the daughter of Chris and Lena (Borer) Potthoff. She was united in marriage to Walter Schlagheck at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Peru, Illinois on November 29, 1947. Louise was a member of St. William Catholic Church, the Catholic Study Club and the Christian Mothers. She was a member of a golf league at Nagawicka Golf Course and Moor Downs Golf Course. She also enjoyed playing bridge.

Louise is survived by her loving children: Karen (Thomas) Davis, of Evanston, IL; David (Cheryl) Schlagheck of Spring Valley, IL; Thomas (Grace) Schlagheck of Boerne, TX; Maribeth (Joseph) Nettesheim of Waukesha, WI. Grandchildren: Jennifer Davis (Tim Bagwell); Kevin (Sarah) Davis; Jon (Rachel) Schlagheck; Matthew(Kara) Schlagheck; Elizabeth (Josh) Dillman; Christopher (Heidi) Schlagheck; Nick (Erika) Schlagheck; Caitlin (Charlie) Akes; Danica Schaefer; Kierrin(Jacob) Viall and eleven great-grandchildren and her brother, Clement (Irene) Potthoff of Peru, IL. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Schlagheck; grandson, Ben Schlagheck; four brothers: John, Leo, Ted and Raymond Potthoff, and by four sisters: Sr. Martina, Rose, Catherine, and Sharon.            

The visitation for Louise will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, Wisconsin. The Reverend Kevin Barnekow will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Louise may be given to Seasons Hospice, 3217 Fiddlers Creek Drive, Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188.
