Obituary: Louanne Margaret Jozwiak

Pewaukee woman, 76, was a long-time Waukesha school teacher.

Louanne Margaret Jozwiak, of Pewaukee, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the age of 76.

She was born on May 2, 1936, in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Earl and Florence (nee Immekus) Strobusch. Louanne married Robert Jozwiak on June 18, 1960. She attended UW-Milwaukee and was part of the sorority Delta Kappa Gamma. Louanne graduated with a Degree in Education, and later received her Master’s Degree in the same field. She was an educator for the Milwaukee Public School system for several years until she married her husband, Robert. They relocated to Waukesha and started their family. She then finished her teaching career by working for the Waukesha Public Schools for nearly 25 years.

Louanne was a longtime member of the Women’s Philanthropic Club of Waukesha. She was also an active member with the Learning In Retirement, team leader of Organize for America and an active member at St. John Neumann Catholic Church where she served as lector. Louanne was a member of various book clubs, was a wildlife advocate, enjoyed traveling worldwide and was most passionate about spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.

 Louanne will be sadly missed by her daughters, Anne Jozwiak of Madison, WI, Elizabeth Jozwiak of Janesville, WI, and Kathleen (Chris) Eull of Waukesha, WI; grandchildren, Thomas and Connor Eull; as well as by many cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert and aunt, Darlene Quint.

The visitation for Louanne will be held Thursday, Jan. 3, from 11 a.m. until the 12:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 W. State Hwy. 59, Waukesha, WI 53189. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha.
