Obituary: Linda K. Lang

Linda K. Lang, of the town of Brookfield, died on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 53 years. 

She was born in Racine on September 2, 1959, the daughter of Lindsay and Catalina (nee Gomez) Broughton.  On July 2, 1989, she married John Lang.  Linda graduated from Gateway Technical Institute with her associate’s and LPN degree and then received her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in Nursing.  She loved her job as a nurse and worked at Aurora Mt. Sinai Hospital in Milwaukee for many years.  Linda was a dedicated and passionate Green Bay Packers fan.  Linda’s family and friends were very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. 

She will be sadly missed by her husband John of the town of Brookfield, her mother Catalina Broughton, her sister Betty (Bob) Kimball, her brothers Jerry Broughton, Bob (Lynn) Broughton and David (Dotty) Broughton.  She is further survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe Lang, Dan (Donna) Lang, Pat (Rick) Peacock, Sue Lang, Andy (Jane) Lang and Tim Lang along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father Lindsay Broughton and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Don and Marion Lang.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. funeral Mass at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Fr. Kevin Barnekow will preside. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation, 2900 West Oklahoma Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53215 (http://www.lombardifoundation.org/).
