Obituary: John E. Parpart

Waukesha man, 88, was a World War II veteran who served in the Army.

John E. Parpart, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at Shorehaven Tower on Nov. 8, 2012, at the age of 88 years.

John was born in Watertown on Oct. 3, 1924, the son of Emil and Minnie (nee Nichols) Parpart. He married the love of his life, Eleanor May Winter, of Horicon, on Sept. 25, 1948. John was a proud veteran of WWII where he honorably served our country as part of the United States Army.

He worked at Waukesha Foundry and retired in 1988 as a Supervisor. John was a longtime member of St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. He loved to travel all over the United States. John especially loved the times he was able to spend with his family.

John will be dearly missed by his wife, Eleanor; his children, Michael (Barbara Swanson) Parpart and Patricia (Jerry) Kaminski; his grandchildren, Eric (Andrea) Parpart and Jaime (Matt) Santa Cruz of Arizona; Eleanor’s cousin, Barbara Reticheck; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. John was preceded in death by his siblings, Westey, Raymond, Arthur, Alice and Ruth.

A visitation for John will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Reverend Curt Frederick will officiate the Mass. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon at 1:30 p.m. with full military honors.
