Obituary: Jan “Jon” E. Slupski

Jan “Jon” E. Slupski of Wauwatosa formerly of Waukesha passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at Froedtert Hospital at the age of 49 years. 

He was born on Jan. 24, 1964, the son of George and Helen (Natoski) Slupski. Jon attended Sunnyslope Grade School and Wisconsin Hills. He enjoyed eating at McDonald’s and his favorites were a hamburger, French fries and a chocolate shake. Jon was involved in the LEO Program. He enjoyed the Green Bay Packers, bowling, shopping and arts and crafts.   

Jon is survived by his brothers and sisters, Z. George (Jan) Slupski; Helen (Norm) Knox; Michael (Barb) Slupski; Therese Osinski; Richard Slupski and Raymond Slupski, step mother, Shirley (Joe) Dorsey, step-brothers and step-sister, David (Susie) Ackmann; Daniel (Bonnie) Ackmann; Diane (Peter) Lamb; Dawn (Lawrence) Wanta and Dean (Tammi) Ackmann. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Slupski and by one step-nephew, Timmy Ackmann.                                       .

The visitation for Jan will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 1405 S. 92nd. Street, West Allis, Wisconsin 53214. The Reverend Jeffrey A. Prasser will be officiating. Committal Services will immediately follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 3801 W. Morgan Avenue, Milwaukee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Jon may be given to Creative Community Living Services, Victoria House, 1425 Victoria Drive, Waukesha, Wisconsin 53189.

The family of Jon would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Creative Community Living Services and the caregivers at Victoria House and the Oak Ridge Home. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Karen and Courtney and all of Jon’s buddies at the Victoria House. He loved and missed you all.
