Obituary: Jan Deming Herrell (nee Watts)

Jan Deming Herrell (nee Watts), of Waukesha, died on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 62 years.  

She was born in Buffalo, New York on January 7, 1951 the daughter of Bert and Betsy (nee Gordon) Watts.  On November 28, 1992 she married Hollis Herrell.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brookfield.  Jan was a true friend to many.  She was a lover of her birds and gardens and believed in the revelation of God’s goodness through the natural world. 

She will be sadly missed by her husband Hollis of Waukesha, her son David Foppe of Waukesha and her stepsons, Hollis (Chris) Herrell of New Berlin and Mark (Dorene) Herrell of Sturgeon Bay. 3 grandchildren: Derek, Mark, and Samantha.  She was one of 10 children and she was especially close to her sisters Mary Jo, Lynn and her brother Peter.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Ann.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 4:00PM until the time of the 7:00PM funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha.  Pastor Eric Luedtke will preside. Burial will be held on Friday, September 13th at 1:00PM at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Cadott, WI. If desired, memorials are appreciated to Wildlife in Need, W349 S1480 S. Waterville Rd., Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
