Obituary: Genevieve Mary "Jean" Healy

Waukesha woman died at age 102.

Genevieve Mary “Jean” Healy, of Waukesha, formerly of Burlington, passed away peacefully Friday, June 15, 2012, at the age of 102 years.

Jean was born in Waterford on Oct.12, 1909, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (nee Tenpenny) Crowley. She married the love of her life, Jesse Healy on Oct. 27, 1945. Jean was a dedicated member of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Burlington until 1996 when she moved to Waukesha and became a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She worked in the education system and a school bus company as an administrative clerk for many years in Burlington. Jean loved to crochet afghans and other items. She loved to travel and took numerous road trips across the country with her family. Jean was a huge baseball fan and loved the Milwaukee Brewers. More than anything, Jean loved her family.

Jean will be dearly missed by her son, Bob (Kathy) Healy of Pewaukee; her grandsons, Brian (Colleen) Healy of Big Bend and Kevin (Amber) Healy of Sun Prairie; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Samuel, Ezekiel and Clara; her sister, Betty Miller; her special niece, Kay (Chuck) Robers of Waukesha; many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse; and her siblings.

A visitation for Jean will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial Mass on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Reverend William Key will officiate the service. A private family burial will take place at the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in Burlington at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186.
