Obituary: Elaine Mary Ludkey

Elaine Mary Ludkey, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at LifeCare Hospital on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the age of 83 years.

Elaine was born in Wisconsin Rapids on May 14, 1928, the daughter of Walter F. and Leona (nee Danor) Fritz. She was a devoted member of St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. Elaine loved bowling with her husband and playing cards and bingo. She had a passion for watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers games. More than anything, Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family.

Elaine will be dearly missed by her daughters, Barbara Zimmermann of Fond du Lac and Jean (Greg) Schlimgen of Waukesha; her grandchildren, Amy (Matt) Baumhardt, Jennifer Zimmermann, Katie Schlimgen and Amanda Schlimgen; her sister-in-laws, Evangeline Fritz of Fond du Lac and Carol Fritz of Wisconsin Rapids; and many other family and friends. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Irwin A. Ludkey; her daughter, Mary Frances Ludkey; her son-in-law, Rolf Zimmermann; and her brothers, Kenneth Fritz and Wayne Fritz.

A visitation for Elaine will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Kevin Barnekow will officiate the service. Entombment to follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac.
