Obituary: Earl G. Buchholz

Former Waukesha firefighter served in the Army during World War II.

Earl G. Buchholz, of Pelican Lake, WI, formerly of Waukesha, died on Friday, March 22, 2013 at, the age of 91 years.

Earl was born in Antigo on Feb. 22, 1922, son to William and Edna Buchholz. He married the love of his life, Elsie, on April 2, 1945. Earl proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a firefighter for the city of Waukesha for 29 years. Earl was a charter member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church of Waukesha. He enjoyed living at his home on Pelican Lake and being able to feed all the animals and birds that encompassed the area. Earl’s greatest joy, however, was spending time with those he loved and cared about.

Earl will be dearly missed by his nephews Brian (Fiancée Ann Priesgen) Buchholz and Dean (Vickie) Buchholz; sister-in-law, Helen Buchholz; aunt’s, Adeline Kroening and Lil Muenchow. Earl is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie, parents, and brother, Clifford.

The visitation for Earl will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the 2 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Private  burial for the family will be held at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin, WI.
