Dorothy M. Strong, of Waukesha, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Seasons Hospice surrounded by her loving family at the age of 91 years.
She was born in Kenosha on May 18, 1921 the daughter of Edward and Evelyn (nee Venne) Boyer. On March 30, 1940 she married John W. Strong; he preceded her in death in 1984. Dorothy lived her 91 years of life to the fullest and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Jack Strong (Kristy Knudsen) of Naples, FL, Kathleen (Ron) Larson of Waukesha and Patrick Strong of Mequon and her grandchildren, Emily Knudsen-Strong, Gregory Larson, Shane Larson, Christopher Larson and Katherine Wortman. She is further survived by her dear sister-in-law Mary Helen Strong of Wauwatosa along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband John and her parents, she was preceded in death by her five sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 West State Highway 59, Waukesha, WI 53189. Reverend Kevin Barnekow will preside. A private burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired, memorials are appreciated to the American Lung Association, 13100 W.
