Obituary: Donald “Don” J. Klousnitzer Jr.

Waukesha man, age 59, died Monday surrounded by his family.

Donald “Don” J. Klousnitzer Jr., of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 59 years.

He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 10, 1953 the son of Donald J., Sr. and Joan (nee Bock) Klousnitzer.  He was a 1971 graduate of Keystone Oaks High School in Pittsburgh where he was a swimmer and diver. Don went on to graduate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania graduating in 1975 where he played soccer. On Sept. 9, 1978, he married Karen Buser.  He worked in sales for many years for Hydrite Chemical.  Don loved sports, especially golf, racquetball and swimming. He enjoyed vacationing in the outer banks of North Carolina and was a huge movie buff.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of more than 34 years, Karen Klousnitzer of Waukesha and their children, Alison (fiancé Andrew Timm) Klousnitzer of Johnson Creek and Mitchell Klousnitzer of Waukesha, and his father Donald J. Klousnitzer Sr. of Florida. He is further survived by his brother Gary (Kara) Klousnitzer of Chicago, IL along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother Joan Klousnitzer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 11 a.m. until the time of the 1 p.m. memorial service all held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 20275 Davidson Road, Brookfield, WI 53045.  Reverend Jennifer Arnold will preside.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Don’s name are appreciated to the American Heart Association – Milwaukee Chapter, 1555 N. RiverCenter Drive Suite 212, Milwaukee, WI 53212.
