Obituary: Cecelia Sophia Sobieralski

West Allis woman died at Waukesha Springs at age 88.

Cecelia Sophia Sobieralski, of West Allis, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Waukesha Springs at the age of 88.

Cecelia was born on Aug. 30, 1923, the daughter of Joseph and Cecelia (Hylok) Charapata.  She was a devoted member of the St. Aloysius Church and a member of the Christian Mothers. 

Cecelia will be deeply missed by her children,  Linda (Victor) Gagliano of Crawford, GA,  Michael of Waukesha and Joseph “Joe” (Sue) of New Berlin;  her nine grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren;  her brothers,   Joseph (Lucille) Charapata  of Crivitz, WI,  Anthony “Tony” Charapata  of Crivitz, WI, and James “Jim” (Cynthia) of Little Suamico, WI; her sisters,  Rose Hendrichs of Milwaukee,  WI, Barbara (Jerry) Bellart of AZ,  Dorothy (Sal) Failla of NY and Carol Caruso of Hudson, WI.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Cecelia is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel;  her sisters, Betty, Mary,  Helen, Irene, and Pauline; and her brothers, Peter, Frank and Edward “Ed”.

The visitation for Cecelia will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012, from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. Mass at St.  Aloysius Church, 1414 S. 93rd St., West Allis, WI  53214.  The Rev. Thomas Vathappallil will officiate.  Burial will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI (meet at the cemetery).

Masses in Cecelia’s name are appreciated, or, in lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to her church (see address above). Cecelia’s family would like to thank the staff of Home Advantage & Hospice and Waukesha Springs for their gentle care.
