Obituary: Barbara Jean Baker

Waukesha woman dies at age 63.

Barbara Jean Baker, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully with her husband, Steven, by her side on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the age of 63 years. Barbara was born in Ashland, Wisconsin on May 12, 1949, the daughter of Walter and Joanne (nee Anderson) Bjork. She married the love of her life, Steven Baker, on February 14, 1979. Barbara was a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant and nursing was her passion. She was an avid reader of romance books and baby stories. Barbara enjoyed watching cooking shows but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Barbara will be dearly missed by her husband, Steven; her children, Christopher (Lolli) Baker and Theresa Baker; her grandchildren, Austin Miller-Baker, Anthony Joseph Rodriguez, Andrew Johnson and her 3 other grandchildren; her great-granddaughter; her sisters, Patricia Wassenaar of Wauwatosa and Deborah (Larry) Smith of Eau Claire; her niece, Carrie Wassenaar; her nephew, Brad Wassenaar; and many other family and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her aunts and her uncles.

A visitation for Barbara will be from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM Celebration of Life Service on Monday, July 16, 2012 at the , 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Barbara will be laid to rest at Southeastern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
