Obituary: Augustine C. “Speedy” Garcia

Augustine C. “Speedy” Garcia, of Milwaukee, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital at the age of 75.

He was born on June 22, 1937, in Gonzales, TX, the son of Albert, Sr. and Francesca (nee Cantu) Garcia. For many years he had worked at International Harvester, retiring in 1999. On June 28, 1982, he married Beverly (nee Keegan) Garcia in Madison, WI.  He was a member and treasurer of AFLCIO/Steelworkers.  He loved cars, and in his younger years he always had the coolest cars. 

He will be sadly missed by his wife Beverly, of Milwaukee, along with their daughter Franki Garcia of Milwaukee.  He was the dear grandfather of Gabriella Garcia.  He is further survived by his brother Adolph Garcia, Sr. of Waukesha, sisters-in-law Sandra Hollis and Patricia Keegan of Madison, Connie Garcia of Waukesha, Nena and Eva Garcia of Texas, special friends Ernie and Pam Rockwell of Madison, nieces, nephews, Godchildren, other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings:  Aurora, Abel, Alfredo, Amelie, Albert, Jr., Anselmo, Antonio, Armando and Alvardo.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 4 p.m. until the 8 p.m. funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S.
