Obituary: Adele M. Garcia

Waukesha woman, who was born in Texas, dies at age 87.

Adele M. Garcia, of Waukesha, died on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Waukesha Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center at the age of 87.

She was born in Corpus Christi, TX, on April 3, 1925, the daughter of Marcial and Guadalupe (nee Castro) Martinez.  On Aug. 24, 1944 she married Adolf Garcia in Gonzales, TX. Adele loved to shop and spend money and enjoyed cooking and having a house full of people especially on holidays.  She loved children and was an excellent caregiver to her grandchildren and many others.  She was a member of St. William Catholic Church.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Adolf, of Waukesha, and their children: Ida (Victor) Garcia of Waukesha, Adolf (Allison) Garcia, Jr. of Waukesha and Gerald Garcia of New Berlin.  She had a special place in her heart for her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and her extended family.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Sonya Garcia in 1977 and her brothers and sisters, Gilbert, Lupe, Joseph, Celia and Esther.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. rosary service followed by family eulogies.  Services continue on Friday, June 8 with a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.  Graveside services will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
