OBIT: Andrew A. “Andy” Sobrofski

Man, 92, served country during World War II.

Andrew A. “Andy” Sobrofski, of Waukesha, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, at the age of 92 years old.

Andy was born on May 24, 1919, to August and Rose (nee Buchta) Sobrofski.  He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he coached football and basketball for many years.  Andy was a huge sports fan.

Andy will be dearly missed by his brother-in-law, George Adler; his nephew, Jim (Pat) Sobrofski; his niece Mary Beth Weber; great nieces and nephews, Matthew, Brian and David Sobrofski, and Justin, Jeffrey and Bethany Weber; and his great-great nieces and nephews, Allyson, Ben, Hailey and Gavin Sobrofski.  Andy was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Matthew, Charles and William Sobrofski; and his sisters, Rose Sobrofski, Helen Price and Catherine Adler.

A visitation for Andy will be from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at , 440 N. Moreland Blvd. The Reverend Curt Frederick will be officiating.  Entombment will follow the Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha.  Memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N.
