Jeanne Helen Meer dies at age 81

The Waukesha resident taught kindergarten and was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Jeanne Helen Meer, of Waukesha, died on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Waukesha Springs at the age of 81. Jeanne was born on December 12, 1929, a daughter of Winfried and Esther Brenner.
Jeanne was active all her life. She loved teaching Kindergarten as a profession. Her other interests included bridge, dartball, bowling, swimming, crossword puzzles and Scrabble. She always wanted to brighten the day for others with a song, a piece of candy,or some special trinket she had found. She very much loved spending time with her family and friends and was always willing to offer a helping hand. Jeanne was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was active in various groups.
Jeanne will be dearly missed by her children, Wendy (Don) Dittmar and Michael (Monica) Meer; grandchildren, Emily and Kathryn Dittmar, Anna (Zach) Kirchenwitz,and Madelaine and Jacob Meer; great-granddaughter, Jacey; sister, Marion (Robert) Audley; sisters-in-law, Rose and Jean Meer; and special friends, Shirley Druley and Theresa Williams. Jeanne is further survived by other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and her parents.
The visitation for Jeanne will be from 9:30AM until the time of the 11:00AM memorial service on Saturday, October 8, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church,1052 Whiterock Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jeanne’s name are appreciated to the Trinity Lutheran School, 1052 Whiterock Ave., Waukesha,WI 53186.
The family would especially like to thank the health care providers at Purity Dialysis Center and the caregivers at Waukesha Springs Rehabilitation Center for all they did forJeanne.
