To me, the question of ending human trafficking isn't a question at all. It's a moral obligation. We've turned away for far too long. We've played the ignorance card, and reaped the bliss for turning a blind eye to what's happening in our own backyard. No more. I think of my siblings as I write this. I think of the lives we've been blessed to live, free from fear, and how I'd do anything to protect them. I think of my newborn niece, and the world I hope to present to her someday. We need to move, and stand together, we need to shout till we can't shout anymore that people are not property. Nor are they profit. Every human being deserves the inalienable right of freedom. Every last person. We will continue to move, until we see that accomplished.
