Give Art Give Hope

Imagine waking up to another average day. You have your morning coffee, read the paper and kiss your child as you head out the door to work. Imagine working an average day with little to no unexpected surprises, eating an average lunch and punching that clock for yet another day.

Now, imagine coming home to find your significant other in a state of hysteria. Your child never came home. A day goes by, nothing. Two days, and the police have been called in. They’re interviewing anyone possible to find some tangible link to your child’s disappearance.A week goes by. Then a month. Then a year. Your life will never be average again, because something has been taken from you.

Unfortunately, this scenario happens on a daily basis. Men, women and children are ripped from their average lives and sold into the thriving market known as human trafficking. Currently, some 27 million human beings of all ages are enslaved by others simply for profit. It has to stop.It must if we are to look in the mirror each day and call ourselves human.

This is why a coalition of local artists has created the Give Your Gift project. We all have natural gifts and talents which we can use to help others. It’s up to us whether or not we use them.

My name is Josh, and I’m the founder of JDC Photography’s “Give Art Give Hope” campaign, a clothing line that was launched to bring awareness to the disease of human trafficking, and to encourage individuals from all walks of life to use their talents to fight it. We have the power to end this. We have the power to light up the darkness, and to replace it with a brand new dawn. Will you join us?

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
