Tickets still available for Christmas at Carroll concert

Tickets are still available for the annual Christmas at Carroll concert at Carroll University. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, and Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, in Shattuck Music Center, 218 N. East Ave., Waukesha.

The theme of the concert is “Silent Night.” Carroll’s Wind Symphony, String Orchestra, Concert Choir, Vocal Collective, Women’s Ensemble, Handbell Choir, lyric bass Thomas Weis, organist Thomas Koester and several small groups will present music and poetry to welcome the Christmas season.

Highlights include Eric Whitacre’s “Sleep” and George Frideric Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus,” both performed by the combined choirs and Wind Symphony, and “O Holy Night,” performed by Weis, an instructor of voice.
