“London’s Intrepid Traveler Joff Summerfield to Speak at Carroll University July 19”

Summerfield is the keynote speaker of the 47th Wheelmen Meet Event at Shattuck Music Center 


Waukesha—(June 18, 2014)— Joff Summerfield, the second person in history to cross the globe on a penny-farthing bicycle, will speak at the 47th Wheelmen Meet Event at Shattuck Music Center Friday, July 19 at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
 
Summerfield took a two-and-a-half-year journey on an antique bike across 23 countries and four continents. In total he traveled 22,026 miles. Now, the world traveler is attempting to cross the globe once again and will speak about his current tour, as well as share stories and photos from his first world tour at the event.
 
Carroll University will host the 47th Wheelmen Meet from July 16 to July 20. The Meet will bring 50 to 70 riders of penny-farthing bikes into the Waukesha community where they will have a formal display, demonstrations, orchestrated rides, and formation ridings. To view the schedule click here.
