Ceramic artists with Wisconsin roots show influence from U.S. coasts
Drawing on three ceramic artists with history at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, a new show at Carroll University reaches from the West Coast to the East Coast of the United States to distill a glimpse of the diversity of work founded in Wisconsin into one exhibition.
“LEFT, RIGHT AND CENTER,” featuring work by Charlie Olson, Amanda Salov and Greg Cochenet, opens Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, in the Paddock Bliss Gallery of Main Hall, 120 N. East Ave., Waukesha. The show will be displayed through March 22, and is held in conjunction with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts’ “Material World” conference, March 19-22.
Gallery hours are 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 2-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. A reception will be Monday, March 3, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. All visits are free and open to the public.
