April 6-17 Carroll Art Student Union Spring Exhibition, juried mixed media, Marceil Pultorak Atrium Gallery; Reception: Thursday, April 10, 4-6 p.m., awards ceremony 4 p.m.

April 11 Northern Illinois University Jazz Ensemble with special guest Vincent Gardner, trombonist, and Carroll University Jazz Ensemble, 7 p.m., Shattuck Music Center. Tickets available at the door; $16.50 main floor; $11.50 balcony, $8.50 students/seniors; tickets.carrollu.edu

April 11-12 “Minchin’s,” adapted by Trisha Himmler ’14 and performed by the Carroll Players, 7 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Otteson Theatre. This show is not appropriate for patrons younger than age 12. $10 adults, $5 alumni/parents/seniors, and free for any student with valid ID; tickets.carrollu.edu
