Phi Kappa Phi at Carroll Recognized as a Chapter of Merit
The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi has recognized Carroll University with a Chapter of Merit.
The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines, has recognized the Carroll University chapter of Phi Kappa Phi as a Chapter of Merit.
The award is given to chapters that excel in recognizing and promoting academic excellence in all fields of higher education and engaging the community of scholars in service to others. This year, 54 chapters earned Chapter of Merit distinction.
"We are proud of our young chapter's recognition as a Chapter of Merit. We are grateful for the support we've received from Carroll to allow us to continue serving our student members," said Dr. Jason G. Freund, assistant professor of environmental science and chapter president.

Carroll's chapter of Phi Kappa Phi was started in 2010.
Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. It has chapters at more than 300 select colleges and universities in North America and the Philippines.
