During the week of Nov. 12, 2012, Carroll University students, faculty, staff and friends collected donations for the Food Pantry of Waukesha County.
On Friday, Nov. 16, 3,411 contributions were rounded up to Stuff the Truck, more than 900 items in excess of this year's goal.
Jake Eisch, associate director of student activities, has organized this food drive for the past three years. With an initial goal of filling a car, it quickly evolved to jamming a van, and now requires a lift truck to accommodate all the food.
"We are moved to see the donations continue to increase every year," Eisch said. "It reminds us why Carroll is such an outstanding place to be."
New for 2012 was a partnership with Kelly Ratliff, assistant director of student development at Waukesha County Technical College, and WCTC Campus Cupboard, which helps feed the school's students and their families.
